Values

Solidarity

We believe in the power of collective action and in mobilizing everyone to support people and communities in our region.

For us, solidarity is based on cooperation among community members to address shared needs, empower individuals, and build a more equitable and inclusive environment.

Collaboration

We promote dialogue and sharing among partners, organizations, and citizens to maximize the impact of our actions.

For us, collaboration is a voluntary and equal process in which individuals, groups, or organizations join forces to achieve common goals, valuing each person’s knowledge and resources. It is built on trust, mutual respect, and recognition of everyone’s expertise.

Equity

We work to ensure fair and equitable access to healthy, high-quality food for the entire population.

For us, equity means distributing food resources according to the real needs of communities. Equity is a cornerstone of food justice, which seeks to transform food systems to be more democratic, sustainable, and socially just.

Sustainability

We value the responsible use of food resources, respecting both the environment and future generations.

For us, sustainability in food security refers to the ability of a food system to provide sufficient, healthy food while respecting the planet’s ecological limits and ensuring social justice. It involves responsible farming practices, equitable resource management, and waste reduction.

Innovation

We encourage the development of innovative practices adapted to the realities of our region to strengthen local food resilience.

For us, social innovation in food security refers to the creation or adaptation of practices, services, or structures that address unmet food needs in novel ways, by mobilizing community strengths and promoting inclusion, dignity, and autonomy for individuals.
