Concrete Results
For several years, numerous farms, growers, and food businesses have joined our project. Together, we give a second life to fruits and vegetables that would otherwise remain in the fields or be considered unsellable. We also recover a large volume of grocery products that, without this collaboration, would have ended up in landfills.
This project relies on an exceptional team of volunteers, who dedicate an impressive number of hours to transporting, sorting, preparing, and processing these foods. Through their commitment, they turn rescued food into nutritious baskets and thousands of meals redistributed each year — a tangible impact on food security in our region.

Antigaspillage Brome-Missisquoi
Giving value to unsold food from multiple sources by turning it into community food baskets.
In Brome-Missisquoi, nothing is wasted — everything is reborn to feed our community.
Every week, the Antigaspillage initiative collects unsold produce from farms, grocery stores, and local businesses to transform it into food aid baskets. In the fields, gleaning gives forgotten harvests a second life, while surplus products are turned into prepared meals. Together, these efforts create a true cycle of value, where every rescued item becomes a meal, an act of solidarity, and a collective victory against food waste.
